This is a presentation for pupils from the 6th grade and up who are thinking about developing videogames.
People who like to play computer games often have great ideas for creating their own game. But what is really needed to start developing an idea? In this lecture, we will review the game industry in Lithuania, get acquainted with the specifics of videogames, talk about what you need to understand when taking the first steps, and what professions are needed in videogame industry.

When you're building a rocket (which is your game), think first about the launchpad. In other words, there's some foundation under each game. How to start? How to pitch it? Foremost, what "marketable" means for your idea and how to forge "marketable" into the further process. Come, listen, but most importantly - join the conversation by bringing in burning questions and get some cool wisdom in response".
Benjamin will talk about his passion for animation and his career in the medium. He is going to take us behind the scenes and explain how " Little Nicholas" was made : from the script and storyboarding stages to animation, coloring or music, it will be a complete walkthrough of the entire production.
In his talk, Simon Thomas Grunwald will explore the idea of political/activist games being a perfect fit for the festivals. He will share his own experiences in developing and showcasing Veritatis. What are the benefits of real life feedback and how different festivals project different outcomes for in-games scenarios.

The 13-year journey of developing the Lithuanian TV series BFF. It all started in 2012 with the concept of a children's series, which was tested with the audience in 2020 in the form of a short film called Milkshake Bar. Five years later, it finally reached the screens in the form of a 26-episode TV series.
Doug has worked at many different studios and experienced the different ways studios handle their creative process. Studios can be very different, and sometimes with surprising results. The journey will start in the mid 1980s and go up to the present, traversing studios in New York, Los Angeles, the American Midwest, Canada and Spain. This includes Walt Disney Studios, Broadcast Arts, Pixar, Turner/Warner Brothers, the Spumco Studio of Ren & Stimpy fame, Kroyer Films, Garfield the Cat's Paws, Inc, Phil Roman Productions, and SkyDance/Paramount Pictures.

In the past decade the alt.ctrl movement has inspired game developers and artists from different fields to create alternative ways of playing with the world, with games and with each other, bridging the worlds of art, technology, design and games. In this talk Zuraida will take you on a journey through several of these projects, festivals and playful experiences.

Simonas is a Generative AI specialist and founder of Kopa Films, a studio focused on integrating AI into video production, including film, animation, commercials and documentaries. He recently joined Perfection42 as Creative Director, where he’s helping to develop a platform for AI-powered visual content creation and creative workflow optimization. With deep knowledge of the latest AI tools, Simonas brings a sharp eye for choosing the right solutions for specific filmmaking tasks.
In his talk, he’ll cover practical use cases of AI in animation - from his own projects to worldwide industry examples. He’ll also talk about the art of prompting, tool selection, and the future of visual production with AI.
Director Karla Nor Holmbäck shares how she brought her favorite childhood book to life as an animated feature film. In this talk, she takes the audience behind the scenes of Rosa and The Stone Troll – from the very first idea to the finished film. She dives into the creative process, including script development, character design, and her approach to directing, offering a personal and honest insight into how imagination becomes animation.
