BLON, or the Beautiful Land of Nevermind, has been our guiding light and inspiration for the past decade. Through this motto, we’ve crafted games and animation programs that embody diversity, openness, safety, provocation, and liberation for numerous talents. As we mark our 10th anniversary, we face unprecedented challenges threatening the very essence of our festival.

The Struggles We Face

This year has been particularly tough for cultural events, and BLON is no exception. Our vision has never been to compete with commercial events but to create a unique space that fosters creativity and meaningful connections. Unfortunately, the changing political landscape in Klaipėda has dealt us a severe blow. Despite glowing recommendations from advisors and experts, our city funding has been cut, leaving us struggling to keep the festival alive.

The Heart of BLON

Historically, BLON’s Games programme has been free, welcoming everyone to partake in its magic. We’ve always supported young artists, ensuring their participation without financial burden. This year, however, we must turn to you, our cherished community, for support.

If you’ve ever attended BLON, found inspiration, met a creative partner, or simply enjoyed our unique festival atmosphere, now is the time to give back. Your donation can help us continue to provide a free, light-hearted, and inspiring festival experience.

We aim to raise 10,000 euros to meet this year’s goals. Every contribution, big or small, brings us closer to sustaining the BLON spirit.

• Donate 100 euros or more: We will create a photo wall featuring the logos of all who have generously contributed and thank you personally on our social media channels and during the festival in Klaipėda.
